About The Microtron/Voigt Mfg. Co.

We’re a small company that makes everything by hand (well, the wood parts at least… we don’t have a full-on electronics fab yet) in our shop in the Boston area. And by “we” I mean “me”. I’m Sam Voigt, owner/president/founder/designer/builder/lead programmer of Voigt Manufacturing Company, LLC. I’ve got a background in computer science, but like so many programmers, also like building things out of wood. Thus the Microtron: a bit of electronics that’s nice enough looking to put on display in your house. Made by hand (specifically: my hand) of real wood, they’re meant to be something unique that not everyone’s going to have, and will give you many years of enjoyment.
